Sweden Pakistan business networking dinner

You are cordially invited to a business networking evening to meet business leaders, industry specialists and the Swedish business community in Pakistan and the UAE. An evening to build new connections, explore Pakistan from a Swedish perspective and experience the unique culture behind the dazzling façade of the Pakistan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

This event is a collaboration between the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan, the Swedish Business Council in Pakistan, the Swedish Business Council UAE and the Pakistan Pavilion.

5 pm Guided Tour of Pakistan Pavilion at Opportunity District

5.30 pm  Sweden Pakistan Business Networking

  • Welcome by Mr. Rizwan Tariq, Director at Trade Development Authority of Pakistan

  • Opening remarks by H.E. Henrik Persson, Ambassador of Sweden in Pakistan

  • Doing business with Sweden, a talk by Mr. Bashir Ali Muhammad, Chairman Gul Ahmed Textile Mills, Pakistan’s leading textile and retail giant.

  • Remarks by Mr. Syed Hyder Ali, Chairman of the Swedish Business Council in Pakistan, Chief Executive and Managing Director Packages Limited - Pakistan’s largest packaging company, Board Member, Tetra Pak Pakistan 

  • Brief Introduction and talk with Swedish companies in Pakistan.

  • Introduction to the Swedish Business Council in the UAE, by Pauline Madani, President of the Swedish Business Council UAE and Founder & Managing Director of Nordic Homeworx

7 pm         Networking Dinner

A ticket to Expo is required to enter the Expo site. Please remember to have a vaccination certificate or a 48hrs negative PCR test.
