Mauro also highlights key initiatives he is spearheaded, including the construction of a state-of-the-art facility in Dubai.

Who is Mauro Felice?
Mauro Felice, Vice President and Head of MEIIA for ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions
I come from Italy and have been living in Dubai since March 2018. I pursued my studies in Bologna, where I earned a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2000. My professional journey began with two years as a business analyst in a software company, followed by a decade at the Italian multinational company Datalogic, where I served as Operations Director. In 2013, I joined ASSA ABLOY. My career here has been very exciting, starting in Italy and eventually leading me to London as the VP Operations of the EMEA Division before settling in Dubai as the Head of the business in the Middle East Region. My family, including my supportive wife and two children, holds a special place in my heart. My daughter is pursuing her studies in Rome, while my son is busy with his IB studies in Dubai, fuelled by his passion for football.
As the Senior Vice President and Head of MEIIA for ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions, can you explain a bit more about your role and what is your current focus?
My current role encompasses overseeing a wide Business Area that includes five Market Regions: the Middle East, Turkey, Israel, India, and Africa. My top priority is to accelerate sustainable growth in these dynamic markets, driven by urbanization, increasing security needs, and digitalization trends. We are continuously enhancing our processes and operations across factories and selling units with a strong customer-centric approach and a big focus on sustainability. We are committed to ambitious carbon emission reduction goals spanning scope 1, 2, and 3.
What are some of the proud initiatives you have driven during your years at ASSA ABLOY?
Throughout my tenure at ASSA ABLOY, I have had the privilege of spearheading several high-impact initiatives in the dynamic environment this company offers. However, I would like to highlight our most recent initiative here in Dubai—the construction of a cutting-edge facility that will serve as the HQ for all ASSA ABLOY companies operating in the region. This facility will house modern office spaces, a well-organized factory, and an impressive showroom showcasing the Group's entire product and solutions portfolio. This project fills me with immense pride and represents a dream come true, and it is scheduled to be inaugurated at the end of November 2023. It will significantly enhance our image, and attractiveness to customers and employees, and unlock valuable synergy opportunities.
You started your career with ASSA ABLOY 10 years ago in Italy, then lived in the UK, and now in Dubai. What advice would you give someone aspiring to grow their career?
There's no one-size-fits-all recipe for career growth, as individuals and companies vary. However, one key element that can make a difference is the courage to embrace change. Relocating to the UK and later to Dubai was not easy for me, but it transformed my career trajectory. My advice is to be open to challenges, as they can redefine your path.
What is your dream in life?
My primary objective is to contribute increasingly to ASSA ABLOY's success alongside my exceptional colleagues - Not sure if this is a dream, but this remains my main objective. As for my personal life, my family takes precedence at this stage. I hope my children continue to grow with enthusiasm and succeed in their endeavors.
