Festive Year End 2020
What an evening, what a festive night! Saxophone player Matt West kicked off the event with jazzy Christmas music. And who would have thought that you would see the SBC organisers arriving on camels to the stage? Well… yes this is of course the UAE.
And while the Christmas Julbord was served as a four-course-set-menu we listened to Pauline Madani’s President of the Swedish Business Council, welcome speech who informed us about SBCs activities during the year that’s past.
The Ambassador of Sweden to the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain, Mr Henrik Landerholm honored us with his presence. Mr Landerholm held a great speech about how glad he is to have seen a strong support within the Swedish Community throughout this year. Mr Landerholm also congratulated Sweden, for its export to the MENA and African Region, being one of the best performing countries to the UAE during 2020.
But a festive evening is not the same without great music performances. We enjoyed the Pixel Poi Show with logos of our gold sponsor and SBC swirling around on the stage in LED. It was followed by the wonderful Lisette Uhlmann and Matt West performing the song The Prayer where we even heard Lisette singing in Italian, a truly unforgettable show. Towards the end the Pixel Poi ladies performed again and this time, a heated fire show.
