SBC's 25th Anniversary at Jumeriah Beach Hotel

In 1994 The Swedish Business Council was founded in the UAE by a group of Swedes who saw the need for an organization that could work as a platform to support and promote Swedish companies as well as being a networking platform for the Swedish community in the UAE.  
25 years later SBC is still going strong, and that called for a celebration!

And what a fabulous evening it turned out to be!
The party was held at the Sundeck at Jumeriah beach hotel with a magnificent view over Burj Al Arab.
It was fantastic to see some of the founders present at the event together with friends, the Ambassador of Sweden, as well as old- and new members of the Swedish Business Council networking, socializing and sharing memories about SBC’s time in the UAE.

 Mr Lars Lidén founder of Gulf Rock, was one of the initiative takers to set up SBC in 1994, held a  presentation about how it all started and shared some fun facts about the time back then. 
Also H.E the Ambassador of Sweden to the UAE, Mr. Henrik Landerholm held a speech where he pointed out the usefulness for the Swedish community to have an active organization like SBC in the UAE. Now as much as 25 years ago.
