New Swedish Ambassador to the UAE

The Swedish Government has appointed H.E. Mr. Henrik Landerholm as the Swedish Ambassador to the UAE.

Mr. Henrik Landerholm was previously Sweden’s Ambassador in Riga. He has previously served as the Senior Civilian Representative (with the rank of ambassador) at the Swedish Provincial Reconstruction Team in Afghanistan, and has been the Director-General of the Folke Bernadotte Academy – the Swedish Agency for Peace, Security and Development. Earlier Mr. Landerholm was, among other things, the President/Vice-Chancellor of the Swedish Defence University (SEDU), as well as member of the Swedish Parliament (Riksdagen) where he served as Chairman of the Committee on Defence.

Mr. Landerholm will take up his new post in September 2017.
