Sundowner in Abu Dhabi

Despite recent political turmoil in the wider Middle East region, countries in the GCC continue to show remarkable economic growth over 2024. GCC member states continue to diversify and boost their economies, investing heavily in technology. With this shift towards technology, it is necessary to adapt the legislative framework to this new and dynamic environment. We have seen sweeping legal reforms in the last year on tech-related subjects such as data protection & privacy, AI and cybersecurity.

Against this landscape, the Swedish Business Council is delighted to invite you to an evening seminar on legal changes and opportunities in the UAE and the GCC. Attendees will hear from Anders Nilsson, Managing Partner of international law firm
Bird & Bird, and some of his colleagues.

The first part of the session will take you through the latest major legislative changes and legal reforms and discuss both current challenges and opportunities. As a final part there will be time for questions and hopefully a good discussion.
