On behalf of the British Business Group, the Swedish Business Council is delighted to invite you to the breakfast seminar about, Saudi Arabia: Regional HQ Programme.
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) and the Ministry of Investment (MISA) have jointly developed the RHQ Programme, which aims to attract international corporations to establish their regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia. In addition, the Kingdom has passed legislation requiring businesses that bid on government contracts starting in January 2024 set their regional headquarters there. In early January 2023, regulations were published on when government entities can contract with entities that do not have their regional headquarters in the Kingdom.
The question of whether or not to set up a regional headquarters in the Kingdom is on the agenda of many boards and senior executives, as this requires extensive internal planning to address the various organisational, operational, and legal aspects of the RHQ move. The ever-evolving Saudization requirements for private entities continue to play a vital part for business growth, sustenance, and the immigration programme. Our session will cover points around how the RHQ Programme can benefit existing entities in addressing these aspects.
We encourage attendees to submit questions prior to the event that they would like to discuss. Questions can be submitted when registering for the event.
