Togeher with the Nordic Business Council we are happy to share with your the latest news on the new UAE labour law with our corporate member Abdulhameed Aljasmi Advocates and Legal Consultants.
The new UAE labour law (Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021) was issued in December 2021 and it shall come into effect on the 2nd February 2022. The said law brings many changes to the labour field. It adds many new rights to employees, removes unlimited employment contracts, which likely were the most popular type of employment contract, and it brings various changes to the relation between employers and employees. Therefore, it is important for all employers and employees in UAE to familiarise themselves with – at least – the key features of the new law as it will very likely affect them.
Points to be covered:
- the key features of the new law
- comparing the key changes brought by the new law against the old one
- things to do in your company to implement the new law
