Mentorship program

To support our young professionals and our experienced and knowledgeable members

 

Through the Mentorship Program, SBC links ambitious professionals with knowledgeable executives and entrepreneurs.  Our mission is to promote a mutual exchange of ideas and experience between mentors and mentees. The program provides participants with personal career guidance, ideas, business training and networking opportunities to foster the relationships between the more experienced members and the young professionals. The goal is to create valuable synergies between mentors and mentees, where both can grow from each other’s experiences. 

Mentees, an SBC Member, will get the chance to learn from professionals who have extensive experience in their particular field of expertise. Get professional support with resumes, tips on how to cope with challenges in the workplace, how to make the most out of the career, as well as realising business ideas and goals will also be part of the framework. 
Price for Mentees: AED 250 incl VAT

Mentors an SBC Member, will surely be amazed with new ideas and fresh ways of thinking, insights of potential recruits and, perhaps most importantly, the joy of seeing a mentee nourish, grow and succeed (priority to Corporate and Professional Members). 

The Mentorship Program will benefit both parties in the fields of interest agreed upon by the mentor and the mentee and can be done in person or online. The program is done in collaboration with the other Nordic Business Councils in the UAE.

The next mentorship program will start in October 2024.

If you are interested in participating in the program, either as a mentor or mentee please apply through these application forms below before the 20th September 2024. Kindly note that if you participate you are expected to engage with your Mentor/Mentee and it is the job as the Mentee to drive the program. During the 6 month program there will be three meet ups where you are expected to attend.

  • October 2024 - Mentorship Launch incl speed-networking and pairing of Mentorship Couples.

  • January 2025 - Midprogram Meet-up

  • April 2025 - Closing Dinner. (An extra cost will apply which includes the dinner).

Please note that all applicants must be members of SBC or any of the other three Nordic Business Councils in Dubai. There is limited availability and mentee-priority will be given to Young Professionals. The participation in the program is subject to availability of a suitable mentor or a mentee.
